Polar Bear ”Polar Storm” A3

Polar Storm is a painting I decided to do after watching a documentary . The harsh conditions in the Arctic circle during the long winter months . The struggle for survival against all odds . These huge , beautiful mammals are disappearing each year , because man is destroying the planet and not enough people care .

Try walking up to one and telling them face to face , we don’t care about you as long as we have what we need . I think the bear would have similar thoughts and eat you to survive …

Polar Storm shows a male Polar bear in a Snowstorm , searching for food in order to help him survive hibernating through the harsh,  dark winter months in the Arctic circle. He will sleep underground for months . If he cant find enough food before time runs out , he wont wake up in the spring.

With this  Polar bear in Snowstorm , I hope I have depicted the conditions well enough to understand what they go through each year in order to see the following spring. Something we all take for granted .
