Concorde BAC G-BOAA A3 Print

Concorde BAC G-BOAA (Alpha Alpha) was a production type 1 variant. First registered in March 1974. She was owned by British Airways PLC. Assembled at BAC Filton in Bristol she was the British variant of the Concorde aircraft designed and constructed by a joint British-French Venture.

Concorde BAC G-BOAA was powered by 4 x Rolls Royce Olympus 593 MK 610-14-28 Engines mounted in pairs under her wings. She was permanently withdrawn from use in May 2004.

I decided to paint her in her glory set in the mid-1980,s.  I also chose to paint her traveling at Mach 2, above the clouds. She would cruise up to 60000 ft at this speed, crossing the Atlantic Ocean. London to New York was flown in an incredible 3.5 hours. You could have breakfast in London, fly to New York, and have breakfast again on the same day. Literally being in two places at the same time.

This is only the 3rd aircraft painting I have done. I’m looking forward to painting my next.
