HMS HOOD ”The Mighty Hood”

The Mighty Hood , between the World Wars in the Pacific . With this painting I wanted the Viewer to see why HMS Hood was called a submarine . Her hull is hardly visible in these kind of sea’s . She sat low in the water and the Ocean wave’s would more often than not wash over her decks with ease . The Mighty Hood was the pride of the Royal Navy, and indeed the country .

During the peace years between the Wars she successfully toured the world visiting all the commonwealth country’s.
